Pet Fed finds a place as the Biggest Dog Carnival in the prestigious Limca Book of Records 2019

Pet Fed, India’s biggest annual pet festival, has entered the 2019 edition of the prestigious Limca Book of Records as the ‘Biggest Dog Carnival.’ With over 962 dogs which participated over two days for the record and footfall of more than 19,400 humans, this biggest dog socialization carnival was held on 16th & 17th December, 2017.
The dogs sniffed, admired each other and forged new bonds at the largest pet dog carnival organized by Pet Fed India on three acres of the MMRDA Grounds in Mumbai. Many activities such as ‘Pet’s Got Talent’, a fashion show and a security dog show were conducted.
Out Of the 962 participants, 868 were pedigree dogs, 46 were desi and 48 mixed breeds. Among the rare breeds were Miniature Pinscher, Rough Collie, Weimaraner, Neopolitan Mastiff, Coton de Tulear and German Pointer. The top five common breeds were Labrador, Shih Tzu, Golden Retrievers, Cocker Spaniel and Beagle.
In the Limca Book of Records 2019, the dog carnival finds a mention under the section "The Natural World" for their first ever edition in Mumbai.
The major attractions of the festival include fashion and talent shows to adoption camps and shopping stalls. After a 6-hour long cat show at the cat zone, an off-leash play area for our canine friends, paramilitary dog show demonstrated by Sashastra Seema Bal, plus over 120 pet care brands participating at the festival, Pet Fed finally believes they’re heading towards international fame, as some major International brands from Thailand, Canada and Europe also taking part.
This year, Pet Fed held its own ‘Awards Night’ to felicitate the various professionals from the Pet Care industry. Dr. Dhananjay Bapat, a highly reputed veterinary in Mumbai with over 25 years of experience and is also the President of the Pet Practitioners Association of Mumbai, won the ‘Best Veterinary Doctor’ award, at this year’s Mumbai Pet Fed. A lot of other experts & brands won the various industry awards ranging in categories like grooming, baker and chef. Pet parents with their pooches who participated in competitions on stage or online also won awards and hampers in the same prize distribution ceremony.

Pet Fed, the biggest annual Pet Festival also introduced its first edition in Bengaluru this year and continued with its fifth and second edition in Delhi and Mumbai respectively. They witnessed a footfall of over 60K+ visitors and 9K+ pets across these 3 cities this year and the numbers are only increasing every passing year.
